Georgia football’s draft-eligible players find success at senior bowl.
The Senior Bowl, according to their website, is an all-star game that brings “elite talent from around the country” to compete against each other for NFL scouts. The Bulldogs sent the second most players to the event, falling just behind the national championship-winning Michigan Wolverines.
Before the game itself, every player engages in drills against the other team. Georgia’s players faced off alongside the American team. During these practices, the Bulldogs made quite an impression.
Wide receiver Ladd McConkey possibly turned the most heads out of any Georgia player at the senior bowl. The redshirt junior consistently won the one-on-one drills during practice and was given honors as the American team’s top wide receiver by the defensive backs he faced in practice.
On the opposite side of the ball, defensive back Javon Bullard was equally as impressive, especially in his ability to be disruptive. According to draft analysts from ESPN, Bullard had multiple pass breakups during practice, earning him the American team’s top defensive specialist.
When it came game time, another player who impressed in practice, made a skillful play in game. Wide receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint had the very first touchdown of the entire game.
