Packers mock draft roundup and takeaways Senior Bowl edition.

Senior Bowl week has come and gone, and with that, a bunch of new mock drafts have been released.

The Senior Bowl is a college All-Star game for some of the best draft eligible prospects in college football. The week concludes with a game on Saturday, but the most important part of the event are the three days of practices leading up to the game. NFL general managers and scouts from all 32 teams attend these practices.

This event should be of particular interest to Packers fans because in just the last two drafts, Gutkeunst has selected 10 Senior Bowl participants, including Christian Watson, Karl Brooks, and Dontayvion Wicks.

Below are eight recent mock drafts. I dove into the positional need that the Packers have at each pick, along with the prospects measurements and key stats to know, while Brennen Rupp provided his analysis on all eight mocked selections.

Positional Need: At some point in the draft, with 11 selections, the Packers will likely bolster their offensive tackle depth. After Rasheed Walker and Zach Tom, the only other tackles on the roster are Caleb Jones and Luke Tenuta, who have either no NFL snaps in Jones’ case, or very few in regards to Tenuta. We also don’t know what the future holds for David Bakhtiari, but my guess is that he isn’t on the team in 2024.

With that said, when the Packers address tackle will depend on how much competition they want for Walker at left tackle and whether or not they want Tom to challenge at center–although even Brian Gutekunst mentioned last week with how well he played at right tackle, moving him would be difficult, although Tom could do it.
