As of early February, the Green Bay Packers are one of eight teams with negative effective cap space, per Over the Cap. Salary cap analyst Ken Ingalls, who tracks the Packers’ cap, believes Brian Gutekunst and Russ Ball must shave at least $30 million off the 2024 salary cap to cover costs before the regular season, and the Packers will almost certainly want more space to operate in free agency and other roster-building areas.

As is the case most years, the Packers have left themselves a few easy levers to pull in terms of fixing the salary cap.
