IS a Brutal: The cornerback coaching position is on Brutal as Hafley wants to reinforce…

To carry out his plan, Hafley, the new defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers, has brought together a coaching staff that is primarily new from the Packers and other teams. It’s obvious that he will implement a 4-3 defense, which will be a change from the 3-4 style used during Dom Capers’ time at Boston College in 2009. Notably, a number of coaches have left, including Greg Williams, Kirk Olivadotti, and Jerry Montgomery. Hafley hasn’t been in the NFL since 2018, yet he filled coaching positions quickly.

Key appointments include Jason Rebrovich as defensive line coach, Vince Oghobaase as assistant defensive line coach, Anthony Campanile as linebackers coach, and Ryan Downard as defensive backs coach. The cornerback coaching position remains vacant following Greg Williams’ departure. Hafley aims to strengthen the team’s defensive consistency, particularly in the secondary, which General Manager Brian Gutekunst highlighted as an area needing improvement. As for quality control, the assignment is yet to be announced, following promotions and departures from last season’s staff.
