Giants AGM Brandon Brown Passed Over for Chargers GM Job; Will Return to Giants
Brown had been a strong candidate for the Los Angeles Chargers general manager role, but that team went in a different direction.
New York Giants assistant general manager Brandon Brown’s aspirations to become an NFL general manager will have to wait for another hiring cycle.
Brown, who received interest for the general manager vacancies with the Carolina Panthers and, more recently, the Los Angeles Chargers, did not get either job, meaning he’ll return as Giants general manager Joe Schoen’s righthand man for the 2024 season.
Brown had been a finalist for the Chargers job, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, but the Chargers decided to hire Baltimore Ravens Director of Player Personnel Joe Horwitz, who had been interviewed for the Giants vacancy that went to Schoen for the job.
