After enduring a heartbreaking loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the Green Bay Packers have now set their sights on improving for next season. Fortunately, Kingsley Enagbare, one of the team’s linebackers, shares that same plan.
Unlike most guys, Enagbare wasn’t active in the Packers’ last game this season against San Francisco. That’s because he tore his ACL during the team’s wild card win against the Dallas Cowboys this month. In the process, the linebacker ended his season earlier than he expected.
Throughout the season, Enagbare fulfilled his part well on the Packers’ special-teams units by playing 194 snaps and posting two coverage tackles. Also, the former fifth-round pick posted 37 tackles, six quarterback hits, and two sacks in 17 games throughout the regular season.
Green Bay Packers’ Kingsley Enagbare Excited About Year 3
Even though Enagbare’s season ended on a bad note in Dallas, the sentiment he shared with the media will be one loved by the Packers’ fans.
“I’m solid. I’m ready to start my journey,” Enagbare said.
The journey he’s alluding to is his surgery and the recovery needed to heal his knee. This will take most of the offseason and maybe a little more into next season for Enagbare.
Going a bit further, the Packers’ linebacker felt like he had a good performance during the last season. Enagbare added that he definitely improved a lot, but left some stuff out there. Moreover, he is excited to improve and make a leap in his third year in the NFL.
As it stands, it’s not only Enagbare who needs to do better for the Green Bay Packers next season. Jordan Love admitted that he needs to improve and has to focus on one thing in the offseason. In any case, it’s worth looking forward to next season to see how these two will take their game to the next level.
