Braves announce the signing of 12 international free agents including Jose Perdomo.

The Atlanta Braves announced the signing of 12 free agents on the first day of the international signing period. The big name on the list is infielder Jose Perdomo out of Venezuela who reportedly received a $5 million signing bonus.

The full list of signings is below:

  • RHP Fernando Duarte – Venezuela
  • RHP Anferni Gonzalez – Dominican Republic
  • RHP Francique Kendy – Dominican Republic
  • LHP Rafael Lasorsa – Venezuela
  • RHP Noslen Marquez – Venezuela
  • RHP Jorge Nunez – Venezuela
  • RHP Yander Pinero – Venezuela
  • INF Juan Mateo – Dominican Republic
  • INF Jose Perdomo – Venezuela
  • OF Gabriel Cesa – Dominican Republic
  • OF Juan Espinal – Dominican Republic
  • OF Isaac Osorio – Dominican Republic

Atlanta also reportedly gave a $440,000 bonus to outfielder Juan Espinal. Atlanta began the day with a bonus pool of $5,925,000 with Perdomo taking the biggest chunk. Right-hander Anferni Gonzalez reportedly received a $60,000 bonus. Outfielders Isaac Osorio and Gabriel Cesa signed on for $35,000 and $30,000 respectively per reports.

Any signings for $10,000 or less don’t count towards the bonus pool.
