Preview: Warriors face Bulls as Kerr honored in Chicago.
The Golden State Warriors are trying to find their identity as this season hits the mid-January point. So far they’re 17-20 on the year, struggling to put something together consistently that resembles the championship basketball that defined their dynasty.
They were blown out back-to-back over their last two games, losing 133-118 to the Toronto Raptors and then 141-105 to the New Orleans Pelicans. Both at home! Thankfully they can get the heck away from Chase Center (where the home fans are booing) as they visit Chicago to face the Bulls.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr has been under public scrutiny for his team’s inability to show consistency or gumption throughout this season. Scott Ostler of the San Francisco Chronicle had this to say of the rumors:
That’s why this trip to Chicago is so timely, as Kerr is being honored along with other Chicago legends for his role in helping the Bulls win a threepeat.
Kerr shared words with NBC Sports Chicago tying in his old glory days with his current task as Warriors coach:
Hopefully the Dubs can get lucky and knock off the Bulls Friday night.
