FSU lands commitment from versatile and promising WVU DL Tomiwa Durojaiye
Florida State landed a commitment from West Virginia defensive line transfer Tomiwa Durojaiye, giving the Seminoles one of the most promising and versatile defenders in the Transfer Portal.
The Seminoles beat out Auburn and Miami for the second-year defender out of Delaware. He has a 90 Transfer Grade, making Durojaiye the No. 133 overall prospect this transfer cycle.
Durojaiye officially visited FSU over the weekend, and previously visit Auburn with a trip to Miami expected later this week. FSU was able to shut down his recruitment, however. He has inside/outside potential for the Seminoles after a breakout redshirt freshman campaign in WVU’s 3-3-5 scheme this past season, totaling 23 tackles, 6 TFL, and 3.5 sacks.
Durojaiye (6-4, 278) was at Kentucky the previous year as a true freshman. At 19 years old, Durojaiye already has two seasons of P4 college football under his belt and made sizable strides from Year 1 to Year 2.
As a prep recruit, Durojaiye was the No. 985 player overall nationally and the No. 131 defensive lineman. He was 255 pounds in high school, showing the ability to already pack on productive weight that has served him well at the P4 level.
