The Green Bay Packers are still fresh off of their massive Week 18 victory over the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field. With the win, the team secured the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoff picture. That seed has them set to travel to Dallas for a matchup against the Cowboys in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.

Needless to say, this is going to be a very tough game for the Packers. The Cowboys are the second-best team in the NFC record-wise and many believe Dallas could make a deep playoff run.

Despite the expectations of a Cowboys’ win by most, the Packers are ready to embrace the underdog role. They are playing with loads of confidence coming off of two straight division rivalry wins to get into the dance.

Green Bay Packers Receive Two Massive Injury Updates From Dallas Cowboys

With almost a week remaining before Sunday’s matchup, the Cowboys have already revealed two massive injury updates.

According to a report from Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys are expecting both Stephon Gilmore and Tyler Smith to play this week.

Both players are key to what he Cowboys do on each side of the football. Gilmore was previously expected to play, but this confirms that expectation even more. Smith is an integral piece of the Dallas offensive line.

Even without both of those players, the Cowboys were going to be a tough team to beat. Now, the Green Bay Packers have even more work cut out for them.

For the Packers, injuries will play a large role as well. Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson are both questionable to play at this point in time and there are other injuries to monitor as well.

Expect to hear more news on both teams from the injury perspective as the week continues. As of right now, the Cowboys’ health seems to be trending in the right direction. Hopefully, the Green Bay Packers can say the same as the week moves forward.
