Braves Briefing: Vaughn Grissom has reported to the Puerto Rican League
Vaughn Grissom has reported to action to his team, Cangrejeros de Santurce of the Puerto Rican Winter League (Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente, officially)
Grissom was brought up often by media members when discussing roster and player decisions with Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker and President of Baseball Operations Alex Anthopoulos. He will look to play “in the grass” at left field to prepare for his upcoming battle in spring training with the newly acquired Jarred Kelenic from the Seattle Mariners.

67 days. Atlanta’s expected to ask pitchers and catchers to report on Monday, February 12th, in advance of their first spring training game on February 24th against the Tampa Bay Rays. An official announcement of the reporting date will come in January.
