This was Marcell Ozuna’s best full-season at the plate since 2018 in St. Louis. I say that because technically his 2020 season was his best statistical year. I am not counting that because it was only a 60-game season. Usually, we would look at the defensive stats of a player and grade them but Ozuna only played two games in the outfield. He made his mark as a Designated Hitter.

Ozuna finished the season with 40 homers. That is the most single-season homers in his 11-year career. He had the second-most RBI, Runs, Total Bases, and doubles of his career in 2023, only behind his 2017 season. He was worth every penny of the $16 Million we paid him.
