Today’s Premier League matchup between Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace has a team picked by head coach Steve Cooper.

The Reds will be trying to end on a high note in their final game before the most recent international break. They have had a promising start to the season and will hope to continue it when they face Roy Hodgson’s team.

Last time out at the City Ground, Nicolas Dominguez’s debut goal in the Garibaldi gave Forest a point. Despite having only 10 players left, they rallied from a goal down to tie Brentford 1-1 last Sunday.

Due to his red card against the Bees, Moussa Niakhate will miss the match at Selhurst Park. Prior to their journey to the capital, the Reds were also concerned about a number of injuries, notably Dominguez’s after he had to leave last weekend due to a hamstring problem.

Although Forest are without frontman Taiwo Awoniyi and fullbacks Ola Aina and Nuno Tavares are still injured, the Argentine is healthy enough to start against Selhurst Park. Cooper will therefore modify his starting lineup three times.

Following his weekend stint on the bench, Morgan Gibbs-White is back in the starting lineup. Chris Wood replaces Awoniyi as the line leader after Harry Toffolo made his debut after a strong cameo against Brentford.
Prior to goalie Matt Turner, the back line consists of Toffolo at left-back, Serge Aurier, Willy Boly, and Murillo. In the middle of the field, Dominguez, Orel Mangala, and Ibrahim Sangare remain in position.

Together with Gibbs-White, Callum Hudson-Odoi will help Wood’s attack. Odysseas Vlachodimos, Joe Worrall, Neco Williams, Cheikhou Kouyate, Andrey Santos, Anthony Elanga, Ryan Yates, Divock Origi, and Gonzalo Montiel will be the players on the bench.

Turner; Aurier; Boly; Murillo; Toffolo; Sangare; Mangala; Dominguez; Hudson-Odoi; Wood; and Gibbs-White make up the forest. Vlachodimos, Worrall, Williams, Kouyate, Santos, Elanga, Yates, Origi, Montiel are the substitutes.
