After being let go by WWE, Dana Brooke is choosing to keep a positive outlook.
WWE increased its cost-cutting efforts on September 21st by letting go of a number of main roster and NXT performers. Dana Brooke was confirmed to have been released among celebrities like Maximum Male Models and other NXT personalities after the initial round of releases that included Mustafa Ali, Shelton Benjamin, and Emma.
The releases started only hours after WWE revealed a massive new TV agreement with the USA Network for SmackDown worth approximately $1.4 billion, which apparently generated discontent backstage.
Dan Brooke responded to followers on social media once the releases had time to settle. Brooke said in the tearful post that WWE and wrestling had saved her life.
“I have written a lot and deleted it a lot because no words seem to fit this in my head,” So let me say this: WWE has been my Fairytale and my true-love relationship. I began writing this first chapter of my fairy tale ten years ago, without any concept of what was ahead. I was leaving things that I was extremely accustomed to and entering a world that was completely unknown to me. I frequently wondered if I was acting morally, whether I would succeed at it, and whether I would come to regret what I was leaving behind.
