Injuries have prevented Patrick Bamford from playing consistently for Leeds since then, and he is still far from regaining his 20/21 level of performance.

Since Joel Piroe was recruited in to score the goals Bamford struggled with last season, his current form is not anything that will worry fans.

When will Bamford return?
The striker has yet to kick a ball for Leeds this season under Daniel Farke after pulling up with a hamstring injury in the club’s last preseason match of July.

After spending seven weeks on the sidelines, it was reported last week that he has rejoined the group in full training, which Farke called “good news.”

Now, Phil Hay of The Athletic has provided an update from Farke’s pre-Watford news conference, confirming that he won’t be ready for this weekend but will in eight days when the team travels to Southampton:
