With a £60 million asking tag on his head, the Bees are prepared for the departure of their suspended star player.

Toney has resumed training and a transfer to Chelsea has been rumored.
To fend off any other suitors, talkSPORT has learned that Chelsea may make their move for Toney as early as the January transfer window.

Toney was given permission to resume training this week after serving the first six months of an eight-month suspension for violating FA Betting regulations.

Following his declaration to the Stamford Bridge administration that he needed extra firepower, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is spearheading the effort to recruit Toney.

In their first five Premier League games, the Blues have only scored five goals.

RAMSDALE WON’T BE HURRED

Despite being ruthlessly fired by Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsdale will take his time making a decision about his future at Arsenal.

Ramsdale was benched for Arsenal’s weekend loss at Everton so that David Raya, on loan from Brentford, could start.

The England international was not reinstated in time for the Gunners’ midweek Champions League matchup against PSV Eindhoven, which was another slight.

Chelsea and other teams are keeping an eye on Ramsdale’s situation, but the former Sheffield United and Bournemouth player only signed a fresh five-year deal at the end of the last campaign.

Ramsdale is reportedly settled at Arsenal and willing to put up a battle to regain his position.

STAR NEWCASTLE EYE SAINTS

Soccer Saturday pundits discuss Newcastle star Allan Saint-Maximin and compare him to Wolves star - Chronicle Live

Several teams are keeping an eye on Southampton midfielder Carlos “Charlie” Alcaraz, including Newcastle.

Alcaraz, a 20-year-old Argentine, is a favorite of Magpies manager Eddie Howe, and the club made an inquiry about him during the summer transfer window.

Alcaraz’s struggles to secure a spot in Saints’ starting lineup, despite the recently relegated team losing their past three games, are likely not going ignored at St James’s Park.

After leaving Racing Club for £12 million, Alcaraz scored four goals in 18 Premier League games the previous season.

LEICESTER STAR IS LISTED ON FULHAM RADAR

Leicester City consider Tom Cairney move

The midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall of Leicester has fans in Fulham.

Whether Fulham can persuade Dewsbury-Hall to leave the team he joined as an eighth-grader will probably depend on how successfully the Foxes continue to pursue automatic promotion.

Enzo Maresca, the manager of Leicester, views Dewsbury-hall as a significant player as he attempts to plan an immediate return to the Premier League. His contract with the club runs through 2027.
