Ben Parker told LS11 that he could not understand why Leeds United defender Joe Rodon was given two yellow cards during the 0-0 draw with Hull City on Wednesday.

Rodon, 25, began Leeds’ fifth consecutive Championship game on Wednesday night. The Wales star had two black eyes and stitches in his eyebrow after suffering a facial injury against Millwall on Sunday.

Replays indicated that the foul on Jaden Philogene, for which the £15 million Tottenham acquisition received a yellow, was excessive. He arrived second, therefore it was undoubtedly the second yellow. Hull had left. harsh, giving him his first caution.

Leeds had to play the final 30 minutes with just 10 players, and owing to a spectacular error by Hull’s no. 10 Adama Traore, Illan Meslier managed to keep a third straight clean sheet. Parker shared his opinion.

“Second yellow; not much to complain about. It returns to the original. We couldn’t really make it out when we watched it live, but when you see it later, you’re like, wow,” ex-Leeds defender Parker remarked on Thursday.

“He has been a tremendous player for us; he is great and does the fundamental things well, such as defending the box and winning his headers. During this morning’s LS11 show, Parker stated, “He reads the game incredibly well.

Parker is baffled as to why Rodon, a Leeds player, was dismissed.

It strikes hard. Rodon has been essential to Leeds’ ability to retain three straight clean sheets, including on Wednesday when, prior to his dismissal, Hull had no forward momentum. Leeds ought to have been up by one or two.

One advantage is that Liam Cooper, who came off the bench after Rodon was dismissed and is now able to play again, is from Scotland. He might substitute on Saturday, or Charlie Cresswell might start for Watford.
